Sunset Seafood Dinner in a Paros Country Courtyard
You cook and eat alongside the people who live there, not across from them.
A sunset seafood dinner in the courtyard of a traditional country home on Paros, where you welcome meze and ouzo, walk the property with donkeys, watch classic Greek dishes prepared, and gather around the table as the sun sets with homemade wine and conversation. The evening unfolds without screens or schedules, built around genuine island hospitality and the old Cycladic way of life. Children are welcome from age 6.

The experience
Mr. Giannis and his wife open their home on Paros to small groups for an evening that moves at the pace of the island itself. You arrive 30 minutes early to settle in, then the night begins with a welcome plate of traditional seafood meze (skordalia, tzatziki, taramosalata, Parian salad, dakos), and ouzo. A gentle walk around the property follows, where you see the seasonal vegetables growing and meet the farm animals that share the land. There's time with the donkeys, once the only transport on these islands, and a chance to photograph them before the meal.
As you move through the courtyard, you watch the preparation of the dishes that will become dinner: grilled vegetables, octopus, sun-dried local fish called GOUNA, and other seafood specialties cooked over fire. A meat option is also available on the BBQ for anyone who prefers it. The cooking is not hidden in a kitchen. It happens in front of you, and the smells and sounds are part of the evening.
When the sun begins to set, everyone gathers around the table in the courtyard. Homemade wine, seasonal fruit, and a light dessert arrive naturally, and the conversation that follows is the point. No screens, no schedule, no rush. Just the kind of evening where new people become friends and the meal becomes a memory because of who is sitting next to you.
