The experience
The boat heads south from Milos toward Kleftiko, where you'll spend the main part of the day swimming, snorkeling among sea caves, and exploring the water on your own with equipment the crew provides. After you've had your fill of the water, a lunch prepared by the crew on board waits for you (cooked while you were swimming), along with snacks and drinks throughout the day. The crew guides you to the best spots to swim and points out where the caves are, but the snorkeling itself is yours to do.
Once you leave Kleftiko, the catamaran passes the cave of Sykia with its collapsed ceiling and the beaches of Agios Ioannis and Triades on the way to Kalogries, a second swimming stop with transparent water. The final leg of the journey follows the west coast back toward Milos, passing the traditional fishing villages of Skinopi, Klima, Areti and Fourkovouni (their colorful seaside houses called "Sirmata" built right at the water's edge) as the sun sets. The whole outing runs about five and a half hours, and the itinerary can shift depending on weather and what the skipper decides on the day.
Vegetarian options are available if you request them at booking, and the boat carries specialized infant seats. Children from age one are welcome. The catamaran is private to your group, so you're not sharing the boat or the stops with other travelers.
