The experience

The boat leaves Skiathos Port at 09:15 AM and heads north along the coast. The first stop is Lalaria Beach, where you get an hour to swim in the clear water and walk the white pebbles: the beach sits below tall cliffs and has no road access, so the boat is the only way in. The water is deep and the cliffs rise straight up from the shore, making it a place most visitors to Skiathos never reach on foot.

From there, the boat travels to Kastro, the medieval capital of Skiathos, built on a cliff overlooking the sea in the 13th and 14th centuries. You can explore the restored remains (a drawbridge, churches, palaces and houses), or swim again before the boat moves on. The next stop is either Katigiorgis, a small fishing village on the east coast, or Asselinos Beach, where you have time to relax, swim, or buy lunch. This is the longest break of the day, a chance to sit still after the morning's stops.

The route then passes Mandraki, Agia Eleni, Banana and Koukounaries beaches before arriving at Tsougrias Island, a small islet covered in pine and eucalyptus trees with beaches of green-tinted water. You swim here too before the boat heads back to Skiathos Port, arriving by 17:30 PM. The itinerary can shift if the sea is rough or the wind picks up. The tour leader will adjust the stops to keep the day safe and still show you the island's best water and coastline.
