Scuba Diving in Zakynthos: Underwater Photos Included
Spend an hour underwater at Marathonissi, then surface with photos of what you saw.
Scuba diving in Zakynthos with a PADI instructor covers two dives at Marathonissi island and Keri caves, departing from Agios Sostis port. You'll spend roughly an hour underwater after a skills lesson in shallow water, and receive professional underwater photos of your dive. Transport and all equipment are included. Choose between one or two dives.
The experience
If you've got a free afternoon and want to try scuba diving for the first time, this is built for that. You start at Agios Sostis port and meet your PADI instructor, who walks you through the equipment and the rules before you board. The boat takes you to Marathonissi island (you'll spot sea turtles on the way), and then to Keri caves. The whole outing runs about three hours from start to finish.
Before the actual dive, you'll practice basic skills in very shallow water so you're comfortable with the gear. Then you descend to explore the underwater landscape around the island and caves, spending close to an hour down there. The instructor stays with you the whole time. Afterward, you get a set of underwater photos the instructor captured during the dive, so you have proof of what you saw below the surface.
You choose at checkout whether you want one dive or two. Both options include private transport to and from the port, all scuba equipment, and the instructor's time. The minimum age is 13. Daily departures mean you can fit this into whatever day works for your schedule.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the underwater landscape like at Marathonissi and Keri caves?
Marathonissi and Keri caves hold rocky formations, shallow reefs, and caves you can explore with your instructor. The area is home to sea turtles, which you may spot from the boat on the way out, and the marine life typical of the Ionian Sea.
Do I need diving experience to book this?
No. The dive includes a full lesson on equipment and scuba rules before you enter the water, and you'll practice skills in shallow water first. The instructor is with you throughout, and the course is designed for first-time divers.
How long do I actually spend underwater?
You'll spend roughly an hour underwater on each dive. Before that, you'll spend time on the boat, in the lesson, and practicing in shallow water, so the whole experience is about three hours.
What happens with the underwater photos?
Your PADI instructor takes underwater photos during the dive and gives you the set afterward, so you have a record of what you saw and where you were underwater.
Can I do two dives instead of one?
Yes. You choose the single or double dive option at checkout. Both include the same instructor, transport, and equipment. The double dive gives you two separate underwater sessions in the same day.
