Discover Scuba Diving in Mykonos is a 2.5-hour introduction to scuba on Paradise House Reef, where you learn basic diving principles, use full gear, and explore a reef home to starfish, octopus and sponges. Groups stay at four people per instructor. Children from age 10 are welcome with an adult. All equipment is included, and you can add a second dive from the boat after completing the shore introduction.

The experience

What does it feel like to breathe underwater? This isn't a certification course. It's a quick introduction to scuba that lets you try it without committing to weeks of training. You'll start on the beach at Paradise House Reef, get fitted for gear, and learn the basic principles of diving from a qualified PADI instructor before descending into the water. The reef itself is the classroom: starfish, octopus, and sponges live there, and you'll see them as you practice the skills that certified divers use every day.

The whole experience runs 2.5 hours, with a maximum of four people per instructor so you get real attention. You're in the water for the hands-on part, learning to equalize pressure, breathe through the regulator, and move safely underwater. If you complete the shore dive successfully and want more, you can book an additional dive from the boat. That's optional and arranged at checkout. All scuba equipment is provided. You bring a swimsuit and the willingness to try something new.

You need to be at least 10 years old and in reasonable physical health. A health questionnaire is required before diving, and some medical conditions (asthma, heart issues) may prevent participation. Check with your doctor if you have concerns. The dive is subject to weather. If conditions are poor, you'll be offered an alternative date. Don't dive within 48 hours of flying.
