The experience
Want to see Mykonos without the crowds? This is the way to do it. You'll ride your own 450cc or 600cc quad bike through the island's backcountry, following dirt roads that most day-trippers never take. The route passes Tragonisi, the island with the seals, and opens up views across to Ikaria, Amorgos and Naxos. Your guide navigates the whole thing in English and knows where the quiet beaches are.
The stops themselves are the draw: Armenistis Lighthouse sits high above the water on a bluff; Agios Sostis and Ftelia are both on the northern coast and stay peaceful because they're harder to reach by car; Agrari rounds out the afternoon as one of the island's most underrated stretches of sand. You're not stopping for long at each one (this is a riding tour, not a beach day), but the contrast between the empty water and the packed harbor towns makes the difference real.
Helmets, bottled water and a full tank of fuel come with the booking. You'll pick at checkout whether you want to ride solo or share a bike with another person. Either way, the guide stays with the group the whole time. Minimum age is 18 and a valid license is required. The tour runs 3 to 4 hours total, so plan for a morning or an afternoon and leave the rest of your day open.

Top questions
What's the Armenistis Lighthouse like when you get there?
Armenistis Lighthouse sits on a high bluff above the Aegean Sea and is one of Mykonos' best-known landmarks from the water side, though most land visitors miss it because it's not on the main road.
Can I ride if I've never been on a quad bike before?
Yes. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels and the guide leads the group through every corner, so experience isn't required. Just a valid driver's license and a minimum age of 18.
How many people ride together on each bike?
You choose at checkout: either one person per quad bike, or two people sharing one bike. Either way, the same route and stops apply.
Are the beaches on this tour the same ones you see from the main town?
No. Agios Sostis, Ftelia and Agrari are all on the northern coast and stay quiet because they're not accessible by the main roads. That's why the quad bikes make sense for reaching them.
What does the route actually look like? Is it all dirt roads?
The route follows dirt roads through the backcountry and offers views of Tragonisi island and the neighboring islands of Ikaria, Amorgos and Naxos across the water. It's not a highway ride.
