Lunch in Kastraki wasn’t fancy but it didn’t need to be—just fresh bread, tomatoes that tasted like sunshine, feta so salty it made you want more water (they give you bottled water on the bus), and people who didn’t mind if you lingered too long over coffee. On the way back toward Kalambaka station, someone asked if we could stop for one more photo—and nobody complained about running late. That last view sticks with me more than any postcard could.
