The beach connects to a small island via a shallow lagoon you can wade across; the whole peninsula is a protected nature reserve home to rare plants and loggerhead sea turtles. Time on the beach is yours to spend—swimming, walking the island, or simply sitting in the quiet. The walk back uphill takes about 20 minutes and is steeper than the descent.

On the return drive, you stop for lunch at a local restaurant (20 euros per person, paid separately).
