The experience

You drive your own car to the family olive groves, a 1 km trip on the main road from the farmhouse in Assos, a small village by the sea in Corinthia. A 15-minute walk through the organic groves shows how the oils are grown. If you arrive during harvest season, you can take part in picking the olives yourself. The groves sit on easy-access terrain, and the whole setup is wheelchair accessible.

Back at the farmhouse (air-conditioned and built for this kind of gathering). You taste five different extra virgin olive oils, each one an awarded variety from a different part of Greece. Each oil comes with a food pairing designed to show what makes that particular oil distinct. The pairings are homemade and handmade, and they include combinations you're unlikely to have tried before. The tasting wraps with the operator's mother's specialty: a 100% olive cake made from the harvest.

The whole experience runs 90 minutes. A live English-speaking guide walks you through the groves and the tasting, explaining the oils and the pairings as you go. This is a private farm experience, not a group tour, so the pace and the conversation stay with your party.
