Step-by-step itinerary
Blue Lagoon and Alikes Lagoon Cruise
- Board boat at Ouranoupolis port
- Swim and snorkel at Blue Lagoon
- Enjoy Greek souvlaki lunch on board
- Cruise to Ammouliani island
- Swim at Alikes Lagoon beach port
- Return to Ouranoupolis port
The experience
The boat leaves Ouranoupolis port at 11am and heads straight to Blue Lagoon-Vourvourou, where you get 1.5 hours to swim and snorkel. You enter the water directly from the boat's stairs into water that stays at three meters deep: shallow enough to see the bottom clearly. The lagoon's islet sits in the middle of some of Halkidiki's clearest water, and the glassbottom design means you can watch the seafloor even while aboard.
After the first swim stop, lunch arrives: traditional Greek souvlaki pork grilled and served while the boat cruises back toward Ammouliani. If you don't eat pork or meat, let the operator know one day ahead and they'll prepare a vegetarian option instead. The meal happens on board, so you eat while moving between stops rather than anchored at a restaurant.
The second stop is Alikes Lagoon, where the boat pulls into the beach port and you have another 1.5 hours in the water. You're back at Ouranoupolis by 5pm. The audio guide is available in English and Greek. Infants can travel in a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome aboard.
