The experience
Five days is enough to move slowly through two reserves instead of racing through highlights. The itinerary mixes driving safari, where you cover ground and spot animals from the vehicle, with walking safari that brings you closer on foot, and canoe trips on the water. This rotation keeps the rhythm of the days varied and lets you see how wildlife uses different parts of the landscape.
Beyond the animals, the tour builds in time at local communities so you can meet people and learn how they live in and around these reserves. That's not a side trip tacked on. It's woven into the five days as part of what you're there to understand. You'll eat breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, so you're not hunting for food between activities.
An English-speaking guide leads the whole tour, and an air-conditioned vehicle moves the group between locations. Pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the start.

Is this one for you?Book this five-day version if you want time to spot wildlife and connect with local communities without rushing. Shorter trips won't give you the rhythm to do both, and longer ones work better paired with other Ghana regions.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (15 to 18 years). Children under 15 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What animals might I see on the driving and walking safaris?
Mole National Park is home to elephants, antelopes, buffalo and various bird species. The walking safaris let you move through habitats where these animals live, while driving safaris cover more ground and increase your chances of spotting them across the reserve.
How does the canoe safari work, and where does it happen?
The canoe safari takes you onto the water as another way to move through the landscape and observe wildlife from a different vantage point. It's part of the rotation across the five days, alternating with the driving and walking portions.
What happens when you visit the local communities?
You'll meet people living in and around the reserves and learn about their daily lives and cultural practices. These visits are built into the itinerary so you understand the human side of the landscape you're moving through.
Is the pace of five days slow enough to really see things, or does it feel rushed?
Five days allows time to move between locations without racing and to repeat activities. You're not trying to see everything in one afternoon. The mix of driving, walking and canoe means you're not doing the same thing all day, which also helps you notice more.
What's included in the meals, and are there dietary options?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided each day as part of the tour. Speak with the operator about any dietary needs when you book so they can plan accordingly.
