Cologne Bike Tour: Cathedral, Bridge & Old Town with Guide
Ride Cologne's highlights instead of walking them
A private bike tour of Cologne led by a licensed guide, starting at the Main Railway Station and cycling through the Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge, Old Town and (on longer options) the western districts and Severinstorburg. You cover more ground on two wheels, stop for photos at each landmark, and hear the stories behind the sights (from Roman churches to the Love Lock Bridge), while the guide handles navigation and pacing.

The experience
Choose between a 2-hour Old Town loop, a 4-hour ride that adds the western neighborhoods, or a 6-hour route extending to Severinstorburg in the south. The difference is how far you venture from the Cathedral: the shortest option circles the medieval core and crosses the Hohenzollern Bridge. The longest adds Colonius Tower, Melaten Cemetery and a ride along the Rhine through the artists' quarter. All three start at the Main Railway Station and use fully equipped city bikes fitted to your size.
Your guide holds an official Cologne license and speaks your chosen language fluently. They lead you safely through traffic, point out St. Andrews Church and St. Gereon Church as you head northwest, and pause at Mariensaule monument for photos. The Hohenzollern Bridge itself is the centerpiece. You'll cross it on the bikes, see the thousands of colored padlocks, and get the story behind them. From there the route either loops back toward Old Market and the Historic Town Hall, or (on the longer tours) continues to Koln Triangle for Rhine views, then west to the quieter Melaten Cemetery and Hiroshima-Nagasaki Park.
Children's bikes, child seats and helmets are available on request: mention ages and needs when you book. Entrance fees to attractions are not included, but the guide will show you what's worth stopping at. Arrive early to fit your bike and get a quick safety briefing. The operator sends details 24 hours before departure.
