The experience

The tour starts at the Bike Depot and moves through Berlin's central districts on a fixed route. You'll pass the Kulturbrauerei, a 25,000-square-meter industrial complex from the late 19th century with listed status since 1974, then head toward the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag building, which has been the seat of the German Bundestag since 1999. The pace is set by the guide, who stops to explain what you're seeing rather than rushing between points.

From there the route takes you through Tiergarten Park, where the Victory Column stands on the Great Star as one of Berlin's most recognizable monuments. You'll ride past the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the historical center, then continue to Checkpoint Charlie, the border crossing that connected East and West Berlin through the Wall's division.
