The Experience

The day starts in Bakuriani, a mountain town at 1700 meters above sea level on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range. From that altitude you can see the Caucasus Mountains; the town itself draws visitors year-round for skiing in winter and hiking and other mountain activities in warmer months. The private vehicle and guide give you the flexibility to spend as much time here as suits your pace before heading down to Borjomi.

Borjomi's central park is the second half of the day. The park dates back to the 1850s and centers on the town's mineral springs—you'll taste the natural Borjomi mineral water directly from the source. The park itself is designed for walking and sitting; it's a place to slow down after the mountain section. If you want to ride the Borjomi-Bakuriani Railway or pay entry to the central park, you can add those at checkout.

The 11-hour tour includes private transportation, an air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water and transfer from Bakuriani railway station to Borjomi at the end of the day. Your guide speaks English throughout. Bring lunch or plan to eat in either town, as meals are not included.
