A private surf class in Ahonu, Tahiti where you learn to ride waves with an instructor, then taste fresh tropical fruits (mangoes, papayas, pineapples and passion fruit) on a plate facing the water. The experience runs three hours and welcomes children from age 6. Your guide speaks English, Spanish or French.

The experience

You spend at least an hour and a half in the water with Manua, your surf instructor, who teaches the basics and helps you catch waves in one of Tahiti's most secluded spots. The timing adjusts to the swell and your schedule: Manua contacts you after booking to find the best window. Surf equipment, a bodyboard, fins and a leash come with the class, along with reef-safe sunscreen.

After you're done in the water, you sit down to a plate of fresh tropical fruits right there by the waves: mangoes, papayas, pineapples and passion fruit, all picked for the day. The whole experience (instruction, gear, snacks) takes three hours from start to finish.
