The experience

The quad portion runs 3.5 hours and starts with a briefing and equipment check before you head into the island's interior. You'll pass through the Opunohu agricultural plantations (pineapple fields where you can taste homemade jams), then climb to the Belvédère Lookout for a view across Cook and Opunohu bays. The route continues upward to Magic Mountain, where the panoramic view opens across Opunohu Bay and the north coast. All stops are indicative and subject to change based on conditions.

After returning to base for a break, the jet ski portion begins with another briefing. You'll ride out into the bay on the north-west coast, and the guides will lead you to a swimming stop where you can enter the water to observe stingrays and blacktip sharks in their natural setting. The guides adjust the speed and route to match whether you're a beginner or experienced rider, so the pace stays comfortable for your skill level.

The activity includes bottled water, helmet and snorkel gear loan, light rain gear, and a free drink at the end. The guide photographs the day and makes the images available to download. You can book this as a solo rider or as a duo on the same quad or jet ski, and the two halves can happen on different days if you contact the operator after booking.
