The experience

The boat leaves from one of four ports you choose at checkout, St. Tropez, Port Grimaud, Port Cogolin or Port Les Issambres, and the half-day cruise takes you past Port Grimaud's picturesque canals and colorful waterfront houses, often called the Venice of Provence. From the water, you see St. Tropez's old city centre and the marina lined with mega yachts, then cruise into Baie Canoubiers for an exclusive view of the homes of Brigitte Bardot, Luis Vuitton and the owner of Carrefour from the boat itself.

The full-day tour includes everything from the half-day itinerary, then continues to Pampelonne Beach in Ramatuelle and takes you on a high-speed run across the Mediterranean to Cap Lardier, where the water turns deep blue. You snorkel and swim there, and the captain shows you the marine life that lives in the reserve. Towels and snorkelling equipment are provided. Soda, bottled water and snacks are on board.

A live guide speaks English, German or Dutch throughout the tour. The captain is open to your own suggestions for stops or detours, so you can shape the route to what interests you most. Fuel and use of an electric sea scooter are included.
