The experience

The Pershing 40 is built for this coast: sleek, responsive, and designed to slip into the smaller anchorages where the superyachts cannot follow. You board from whichever port suits your day (Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime, Port Grimaud or Marines de Cogolin), and the crew takes it from there. The boat departs at 09:00 AM or 2:00 PM, giving you a choice of how the light falls on the water and when you want to be back on land.

The route moves through the Golfe du Saint Tropez itself, then drops anchor at Canoubiers: the anchorage locals call Billionaires Bay, where the water is calm enough to jump in without hesitation. Paddleboards are on deck, snorkelling gear is stowed and ready, and the crew will hand you a towel when you climb back aboard. From there you cruise to Parcs de Saint Tropez and then to Salins, where the beach shelves into clear water and the sand stays pristine because the boats that reach it are small enough to care. The whole arc takes four hours, which is long enough to feel unhurried and short enough to fit a half-day into a longer itinerary.

Onboard, the Bluetooth system plays what you want to hear, the rosé is cold, and the outdoor entertaining area is large enough that you are not crowded.
