Snorkeling in Bonifacio at sunset with skipper and meal
You swim and snorkel from a moored sailboat, not from a beach.
A sunset sailing trip from Bonifacio that anchors off the cliffs for snorkeling, paddleboarding and swimming, then serves dinner and drinks aboard the Céleste, a 16-meter Dufour sailboat. The skipper handles navigation while you move between the water and the deck's sunbathing platform. Groups stay under ten people.

Step-by-step itinerary
Sunset sail and seaside activities
- Check out from Bonifacio port at 6pm
- Sail to Piantarella or Pointe Pertusato
- Swim, paddleboard, and snorkel
- Enjoy aperitif with barbecue and salad
- Return to Bonifacio port at 9:30pm
The experience
You board the Céleste at 6pm from Bonifacio's port and sail for an hour to Piantarella, Pointe Pertusato or Fazzio depending on the weather. The boat anchors in clear water off the cliffs, and from there you enter the water with snorkeling gear or a paddleboard. The skipper stays aboard and manages the boat while you're in the water. There's no guide leading a group tour. You move at your own pace between swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding, then climb back aboard to dry off on the bridge's platform or the sofas below.
Dinner is a barbecue with salad, served as the sun sets. Rosé, soft drinks and water are included. Beer costs 3 to 5 euros extra. The boat has a restroom and WiFi. You leave the water by 8:45pm and return to Bonifacio's port by 9:30pm. The Céleste is 16 meters long with an open deck, a dining table and plenty of space to move around, so there's room to relax between water time and the meal.
Children from age 3 are welcome, though infants must sit on an adult's lap. You'll need a moderate level of fitness to climb in and out of the water and move around the boat. Bring your own towel, sunscreen and hat. Snorkeling equipment and paddleboards are provided.

Is this one for you? This trip asks for a moderate level of fitness to enter and exit the water from the boat and move around the deck, so it suits swimmers and snorkelers who are comfortable in open water and can manage a few steps up and down. The fixed departure and return times mean you fit the sunset window into an evening in Bonifacio, not a full day.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years). Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the water like for snorkeling off Bonifacio's cliffs?
The water around Piantarella and Pointe Pertusato is clear and shallow enough for snorkeling from the anchored boat. The exact spot depends on weather, but you're always snorkeling in the shadow of Bonifacio's limestone cliffs.
Can I snorkel the whole time or do I have to come back for dinner?
You choose when to snorkel and when to paddleboard or swim. The boat is anchored and you're in control of your time in the water. Dinner is served once everyone is back aboard, around 7:30pm, so you can snorkel right up until then.
Is there a guide in the water with us?
No guide enters the water. The skipper stays aboard to manage the boat and is there if you need help, but snorkeling and paddleboarding are self-directed.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The boat sails to whichever of the three spots (Piantarella, Pointe Pertusato or Fazzio) offers the best conditions that evening. If conditions are unsafe, the operator will reschedule or cancel.
