You’ll ride through Paris in a classic open-top Citroën DS with a local guide who knows every shortcut and story. From the Champs-Élysées to Montmartre’s winding streets, you’ll catch glimpses of daily life and famous sights—plus small surprises along the way. Pickup is easy, laughter is guaranteed, and you’ll see Paris from a whole new angle.
I’ll be honest — I wasn’t sure if riding through Paris in a vintage Citroën DS would feel cheesy or magical. But when Benjamin pulled up near our hotel, grinning behind that big steering wheel, it just felt right. The seats were ridiculously comfortable (my knees thanked me), and the city looked different from that low, open-top view. We zipped past the Champs-Élysées while Benjamin pointed out little things — like how Parisians always seem to argue at crosswalks but end up laughing anyway. There was this faint smell of fresh bread drifting in from a bakery as we slowed by Monceau Park. I still think about that.
We got the full tour: Grand Palais’s glass dome catching the afternoon sun, the gold on Pont Alexandre III actually shining (I thought it was just Instagram filters before), and then suddenly there’s the Eiffel Tower peeking between rooftops on Rue de l’Université. Benjamin had stories for everything — he even knew which café in Pigalle serves coffee strong enough to “wake up your French soul,” whatever that means. At Place du Tertre in Montmartre, artists waved at us like we were old friends. Maybe it was the car, maybe it was Benjamin’s wave — hard to tell.
I tried my best French at La Madeleine (“un café crème, s’il vous plaît”), and got a smile from the waiter that felt half-pity, half-charm. The city felt so alive from that car — street musicians by Tuileries Garden, someone singing off-key near Moulin Rouge, pigeons everywhere (of course). We ended wherever we wanted; I picked Sacré-Cœur because I wanted one last look over Paris before heading back down into regular life. There’s something about seeing all those landmarks in one sweep — not rushed, just rolling along with someone who knows every shortcut and story. Still feels a bit surreal now.
Your day includes easy pickup anywhere inside central Paris’s designated area, bottled water for everyone onboard (nice touch), a professional licensed driver—Benjamin himself—who doubles as your passionate local guide with plenty of stories to share along each stop. The open-top Citroën DS has comfortable heated seats with space for four adults; drop-off is flexible so you can finish wherever suits you best within central Paris.
