The Experience

The day starts with hotel pickup in Helsinki and a drive to the ferry terminal. The two-hour crossing to Tallinn is your own time to settle in; when you dock, your guide meets you at the harbour with a sign and leads you through the Old Town on foot. The medieval quarter, dating to around the 1400s and Estonia's only UNESCO World Heritage site, is where you spend the next three hours walking past the city hall, the towers and stone houses of the medieval guilds, and Toompea Castle overlooking the lower town. The Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral and Kadriorg Park are also on the route.
