The experience

Your day starts at a reindeer farm outside Rovaniemi, where you'll ride your own sledge for 500m and earn a Reindeer Sledge Driver's License for the experience. The farm is also where you'll hear from local herders about what reindeer herding looks like in the 21st century over a lunch of traditional salmon soup, dessert, coffee and tea. After the farm, you move to the Alaskan Huskies enclosure to meet the dogs before taking them out on a 500m sleigh ride of your own.

The afternoon is yours to spend at Santa Claus Village, roughly two hours of free time to walk the grounds, cross the Arctic Circle line, and meet Santa Claus himself. Children shorter than 150cm have the option to try mini-snowmobiling for 10 minutes on a dedicated track. Winter clothes are provided for the sledding portions, and your transfer back to central Rovaniemi closes the day.
