The Experience

Rain or shine, Tallinn’s Old Town has this way of pulling you in. We paused outside Estonia’s Parliament building. Kristiina explained how politics here have shifted over the years—she even pointed out a small plaque I’d never have noticed on my own. From there, we made our way to one of those upper town viewing platforms. The view? Red rooftops as far as you can see, with church spires poking through mist if you’re lucky enough to visit on a cool morning. There’s always someone selling postcards nearby; I grabbed one for my fridge at home. Before heading back down, we passed through Town Hall Square—musicians were setting up for an afternoon show and the whole place buzzed with chatter in Estonian and Russian.
