Royal Observatory Greenwich sits at the heart of the day. You'll stand directly on the Prime Meridian line that divides the Eastern and Western hemispheres — the zero point for Greenwich Mean Time. The site holds the Peter Harrison Planetarium and traces the Observatory's royal heritage across centuries of timekeeping and navigation. From there, the Cutty Sark is a short walk through the park: the world's only surviving tea clipper, a full-rigged sailing ship you can board and walk underneath to see the copper hull that made her the fastest vessel of her era. Costumed interpreters on deck bring the ship's record-breaking voyages to life.

The Queen's House, designed by Inigo Jones in the 17th century, stands as Britain's first classical building and a turning point in English architecture. Its rooms hold paintings and decorative arts from the royal collection. The National Maritime Museum, the largest of its kind in the world, fills the adjacent building with objects from exploration, naval warfare and seafaring — including Admiral Nelson's uniform from the moment he was wounded at the Battle of Trafalgar.
