You load the London Pass into the Go City app, choose your dates—anywhere from 1 to 10 days—and then you're ready to move through London at your own pace. The pass activates the moment you walk up to your first attraction, whether that's Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, or the London Eye. After that, you've got the number of consecutive calendar days you bought to visit as many of the 100+ included sites as you can fit in. No rushing, no fixed itinerary. You decide what matters to you.

The big landmarks are all there: Tower Bridge standing over the Thames since 1894, Westminster Abbey as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, St. Paul's Cathedral rebuilt after the 1666 Great Fire, Kensington Palace where the royal family has lived since the 17th century. But the pass also opens doors to smaller, stranger places—the Household Cavalry Museum where you can watch into the working stables from behind glass, the Cartoon Museum tracing British cartoons from the 1700s onward, the Fan Museum in two restored 1720s buildings, the Postal Museum with its Mail Rail and Great Train Robbery exhibits. Some attractions need you to book ahead through the app (the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, The Shard's viewing platform), but most you just show up and go in.

A 2-day Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour is included, so you can ride the circuit and hop off wherever something catches your eye. There's also a Thames River Cruise option and bike rental if you want to move differently through the city. The app syncs everything—it tells you opening times, which sites need reservations, how to get there by public transport. Your pass stays valid for a full year from when you buy it, so there's no pressure to use it all at once. You activate it when you're ready, and then you've got your chosen number of days to explore.

What makes this work is the flexibility. You're not locked into a tour schedule or a predetermined route. You're not paying per attraction and doing the mental math each time. You pick the duration that fits your trip, load it into your phone, and then every door you walk through is already paid for. For someone spending three or four days in London and wanting to see more than just the postcard sights, the math usually works in your favor.

questions

Top questions

Do I have to visit all the attractions in consecutive days?
Yes. Your pass is valid for consecutive calendar days from when you activate it at your first attraction. If you buy a 3-day pass, you have 3 calendar days to use it, not 3 separate days spread across your trip.
How long is the London Pass valid after I buy it?
The pass is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. It only activates when you visit your first attraction, so you can buy it in advance and use it whenever you're ready.
Which attractions require advance reservations?
Several do, including the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, The Shard, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, and others. The Go City app shows which sites need booking and lets you reserve directly through it.
Can I visit the same attraction twice with my pass?
No. Each attraction can only be visited once per pass.
Is the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour included for all pass durations?
Yes, a 2-day classic London Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour is included with every pass, regardless of whether you buy a 1-day or 10-day pass.
What if I don't use all my days?
Once activated, your pass is valid for the number of consecutive calendar days you purchased. Unused days cannot be extended or carried over.
Do I need to print anything, or is the digital pass enough?
The digital pass in the Go City app is all you need. You show it on your phone at each attraction. A PDF guide is also available if you prefer a backup.
Are there any attractions NOT included in the London Pass?
The pass covers 100+ attractions, but not every museum or site in London. The Go City app and digital guide list all included attractions. Some major sites like the British Museum offer optional audio guide add-ons.
