Snorkeling in Hurghada: Red Sea Cruise with Lunch
Two guided reef stops, lunch on deck, and a full day on the water
A 6-hour Red Sea snorkeling cruise from Hurghada aboard the ELITE VIP boat, with two guided snorkeling stops at prime coral reef sites, open buffet lunch with grilled seafood and BBQ, unlimited drinks, and all equipment provided. Guides speak English, German and Russian; pickup from your hotel is included. The boat has four climate-controlled decks, a sun deck with loungers, and waiter service throughout the day.
The Experience
The boat leaves the Hurghada marina at 9am and heads north along the coast for an hour before the first snorkeling stop. You enter the water with an expert guide who knows the reef and watches for your safety. The coral formations here are among the best in the Red Sea, and the guide points out what lives in them. After you've had time in the water, the boat moves on and you dry off on the sun deck or in the shaded mid-deck seating while the crew brings drinks straight to where you're sitting.
The second snorkeling site comes next, another guided stop at a different section of reef. Between the two stops, the boat crew also watches for dolphins moving through the area—sightings aren't guaranteed, but they happen. By the time you're done in the water for the second time, lunch is ready. The open buffet includes soups, salads, grilled shrimp, oven-baked fish, BBQ chicken, Egyptian kofta, and sides. Soft drinks and hot drinks are unlimited throughout the day and included in the price.
The ELITE VIP boats are the newest on the Red Sea and built for comfort over a full day. Four separate decks give you options: the open sun deck with loungers if you want heat and light, the mid-deck with shaded seating, or two air-conditioned salon and dining areas below. The crew is trained and the boats are maintained to a standard most day trips don't match. Snorkeling equipment—mask, fins, snorkel—is provided and fitted to you before you enter the water. You're back at the marina by 3:30pm.

What are the two snorkeling sites like in Hurghada?
Both stops are at coral reef sections in the Red Sea north of Hurghada, chosen for the health of the coral and the marine life. The guide leads you through the reef on each stop and points out what you're seeing. The exact sites vary by conditions and season, but they're consistently among the best snorkeling spots accessible from Hurghada by boat.
Do I need snorkeling experience to join this cruise?
No. The guides are trained to work with all levels, and the equipment is provided and fitted to you. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels. If you're new to snorkeling, the guide will show you how to use the mask and fins and stay comfortable in the water.
What time does the boat leave and return to Hurghada?
The cruise departs the marina at 9am and returns by 3:30pm, a full 6-hour day on the water. Hotel pickup is included, so you'll be collected before the 9am departure and dropped back after the return.
Is the lunch included in the price, and what if I have dietary needs?
Lunch is included and served as an open buffet with soups, salads, grilled seafood, BBQ chicken, Egyptian kofta and sides. Unlimited soft drinks and hot drinks are also included throughout the day. Let the operator know about dietary restrictions when you book so they can plan for you.
What languages do the guides speak?
The guides speak English, German, and Russian. Let the operator know which language you prefer when you book so they assign the right guide to your group.
What happens if the weather is bad or dolphins don't appear?
The cruise runs in normal sea conditions; the operator will advise if weather makes it unsafe. Dolphin sightings are listed as "if possible"—the boat watches for them on the route north, but they're not guaranteed. The two snorkeling stops and the full day on the water are the core of the experience.
