The Grand Egyptian Museum sits minutes from the Pyramids of Giza and holds thousands of artifacts across twelve galleries tracing ancient Egypt from prehistoric times through the Roman era. The Tutankhamun Galleries are the centerpiece. More than 5,000 artifacts from the young king's tomb (who reigned from around 1336 BC to 1327 BC) are displayed together here for the first time. You'll see his golden mask, jewelry, fine garments, exquisite furniture, chariots, weapons and the everyday objects placed beside him for his eternal journey. These are not replicas or selections. The entire collection is under one roof, and your guide walks you through what each piece reveals about his life, reign and the rituals of the afterlife.

Lunch is built into the tour. You choose between an open buffet of traditional Egyptian dishes, Egyptian Koshary (rice, noodles, chickpeas, lentils and fried onions with tomato sauce), Shawerma (spit-roasted meat wrapped in pita), or Falafel and Baba Ganoush sandwiches. After eating, your air-conditioned car and driver take you back to your hotel.
