The Experience
You arrive at the desert with a free afternoon or evening ahead, and this activity fills it with motion and stillness in turns. The day starts with a 4x4 jeep crossing the dunes, then you move to the quad bikes, the core of the experience, where you throttle across sand yourself, feeling the machine respond under you. After that comes a desert buggy ride, bumpy and fast, before the pace shifts entirely: a camel carries you at sunset, slow enough to photograph the light changing across the dunes.
By evening you're in a traditional Bedouin tent with tea and fresh bread, then a full dinner of grilled meats and local dishes served under the stars. A live show of belly dance and Tannoura (a spinning dance in a full skirt) plays while you eat, the program subject to what the performers bring that night. When the meal ends, an astronomy expert sets up telescopes and walks you through what the desert sky holds: constellations, planets, whatever is visible that evening. Hotel pickup and drop-off bracket the whole thing, and the guide speaks English, German or Arabic depending on the group.
The quad biking is the physical anchor: you control the bike, not a guide. The buggy ride adds a second machine experience. Everything else (the jeep, the camel, the tent, the dinner, the stargazing) builds around those two moments of operating equipment yourself. Bottled water and soft drinks come throughout, and the Bedouin tea and bread-making are part of the welcome at the tent.

Is this one for you?Small groups work well here because the quad biking and buggy rides move at a shared pace, and the Bedouin tent and stargazing happen together. If you're traveling with family or friends and want a single outing that mixes adrenaline (the quads and buggy), culture (the tent and dinner show) and wonder (the telescope session), this activity stacks all of it into one evening.

What's the quad biking actually like, do I need experience to ride?
Quad biking is the centerpiece of the activity, and the operator lists it as suitable for all physical fitness levels, so no prior experience is required. You ride across sand dunes on a powerful quad bike, controlling speed and direction yourself. The guide leads the group and sets the pace for the ride.
How long is the camel ride, and does it happen at sunset?
The camel ride is a short, traditional experience timed for sunset, when the light is best for photos and the desert cools. It comes after the quad biking and buggy riding, as a deliberate shift to a slower pace before dinner.
What's included in the Bedouin dinner?
Dinner is an open buffet of Bedouin-style food (grilled meats, traditional dishes and local flavors) served under the stars in the tent. Bottled water and soft drinks are included throughout the activity, and the evening entertainment (belly dance and Tannoura) happens during the meal.
Is the stargazing session guided, or do I just look through the telescopes?
An astronomy expert guides the stargazing session and reveals what you're looking at through professional telescopes. The guide explains constellations, planets and other features of the night sky visible that evening.
What time does this activity start and end?
The activity runs 6.5 hours total from hotel pickup. It begins with the 4x4 jeep ride and ends after the stargazing session, with hotel drop-off included.
What languages does the guide speak?
The guide speaks English, German, or Arabic, depending on the group composition.
