The experience
You're picked up from Safaga Port early in the morning and driven by private air-conditioned car to Luxor, where your Egyptologist guide meets you for the day. Karnak Temple is the first stop: the largest temple complex ever built, spread across 247 acres with three main temples and smaller enclosed sanctuaries layered over generations. From there you move to the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of pharaohs from the 18th to 20th dynasty, where the tombs of Ramses II and Tutankhamun still hold their painted decoration and burial goods largely intact.
The afternoon takes you to the Temple of Hatshepsut, built on three levels with ramps connecting them, and then to the Colossi of Memnon: two massive quartzite statues of King Amenhotep III that were transported 700 kilometers from Cairo to stand as the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. After this final Luxor stop, you fly to Cairo at 19:15, arriving at 20:15, and are transferred to your hotel for the night with breakfast included.
Day two starts with breakfast at your Cairo hotel, then heads to the Giza Pyramids: the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren, and the Pyramid of Mykerinus, plus the Valley Temple where you see the Great Sphinx. The Egyptian Museum comes next, holding over 250,000 artifacts including a dedicated Tutankhamun exhibit with gold and jewelry buried with the young pharaoh for 3,500 years. You fly back to Hurghada at 14:15, arriving at 15:15, and are transferred back to Safaga Port to conclude the tour.
