The day starts with pickup from your hotel 30 minutes before departure. You'll head first to Los Tres Ojos, Santo Domingo's most popular cave attraction, where a guide walks you through three underground lakes and then takes you by small boat to a fourth lake: a large cenote hidden inside the cavern. The entrance fee and parking are already covered. After the caves, you stop at La Caleta, a local beach near the airport where you can swim or jump off a small cliff if you want. Most people spend an hour here before moving on.

The final stretch lands you at Boca Chica, Santo Domingo's main beach, where lunch waits for you on the sand: fried fish prepared the local way. You get two hours to eat, swim, or just lie in the shade. If water sports appeal to you, rentals are available on the beach but cost extra. The drive back to Zona Colonial takes the rest of the afternoon, with arrival around 4 PM, though traffic can shift that time.
