The experience

The meeting point is on Bavaro Beach, where the captain and crew walk through the safety briefing before you board. The catamaran sails up the coast to the snorkel site. The water is shallow enough to stand and deep enough to see the reef structure and the fish moving through it. You use the snorkeling equipment provided and can stay in the water as long as you want. Flotation devices are available if you need them. Between water time, the crew brings out snacks and drinks from the open bar, and you can ask them about what lives in the water and how the reef works.

After snorkeling, the boat heads to an aquarium site where you stay aboard and watch dolphins from the deck. The final stop is the sandbank: a shallow, sandy area where you can wade and swim.
