The experience

Bavaro Adventure Park sits you on two pieces of equipment in a single day. You start with the Polaris: a high-powered ATV where you navigate jungle trails and an abandoned mine track off-road, with a professional guide leading the way and staff briefing you on safety before you leave the park. The ride is built for adrenaline: the terrain changes as you move through the landscape, and the guide handles the route while you operate the machine.

After the Polaris comes the horseback riding. You move through the same jungle setting now on a horse, visiting a Dominican village and taking in the surroundings at a different pace. Both activities run back-to-back across the morning and early afternoon, so the day builds from one kind of motion to another without a long break between them.

Cenote Blue Lagoon is where you cool off. The cenote sits inside the park, and you swim and refresh there after the rides are done. A typical Dominican lunch follows (included, though drinks are separate), and you eat surrounded by the park's natural setting. Before you leave, the waterfall pool is open if you want to spend more time in the water. Round-trip shared bus transfers from your hotel bracket the whole day, so transport is arranged.
