The Experience

The minivan picks you up from your hotel and takes you to Playa Los Corales, where a guide meets you on the beach and walks through what you need to know before the water activities start. The catamaran leaves from there, and the day splits into three separate things to do: snorkeling in the shallows around Bávaro Beach, hookah diving (a form of shallow scuba where you breathe from a line tethered to the boat), and parasailing high enough to see the coastline. You choose which ones you want to do, and the crew handles the setup and safety for each.

Between the water activities, the boat heads to a natural pool—a shallow sandbar in the open ocean where the water stays calm and clear. Multiple catamarans from other excursions anchor there, so it fills with other travelers, music from the crew, and dancing. Fruits and drinks come around continuously, and a professional photographer moves through the boat capturing moments you can buy later. The party atmosphere is built into the schedule, not something you have to opt into.
