The Experience
“You’ll want to leave your phone behind,” our guide joked as we stepped into the softly lit spa near Letná. The air inside was warm and carried a faint trace of lavender and red wine—something I’d never smelled together before. I slid into the bath, feeling the gentle whirlpool swirl around me, and honestly, it was hard not to just close my eyes and forget about the world outside. Afterwards, wrapped in a thick towel and slippers (which they hand you right away), we wandered down a quiet hallway into Prague’s biggest salt cave. It was cooler here, with tiny crystals crunching underfoot and a soft glow from the salt fireplace at one end. Our host pointed out an old stone well tucked in the corner—apparently from Rudolf II’s time—which felt like stumbling onto a secret bit of history while still in your robe.
Sipping prosecco by that fireplace, I caught myself listening to nothing but the gentle hum of air filters and distant laughter from another group.
