Leap from a plane at 15,000 feet, freefall for 60 seconds, and land where you started

Tandem skydiving in Prague pairs you with a certified instructor for a jump from 15,000 feet, including a 60-second freefall and the glide back to ground. Transport from Prague's city center, full safety briefing, gear and certificate are included; the whole experience runs 4 to 6 hours depending on weather and traffic. Minimum age is 18, and weight limit is 120 kg (surcharge applies above 95 kg).

The Experience

The day starts at the Prague office where you arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. A minivan picks you up and drives about an hour to the airport—the time shifts with traffic. Once there, instructors walk you through the safety briefing, fit you into the gear, and answer questions before you board. The plane climbs to 15,000 feet; when the door opens, you and your tandem partner step out into open air.

The freefall lasts a full 60 seconds—the part most people come for. Your instructor controls the descent while you experience weightlessness and the ground rushing up below. Then the parachute opens and the noise stops. The glide down takes several minutes, and you land about 20 meters from the changing room where you started suiting up. From the safety briefing to stepping out of the gear, count on roughly 3 hours at the airport and drop zone, plus another hour driving back to Prague.

Weather and traffic can shift the total time between 4 and 6 hours, so plan the rest of your day loosely. You'll get a certificate to take home. Photos and video from a cameraman who jumps alongside are available to purchase at checkout, as is a selfie video recorded by the tandem pilot's hand camera.

Top questions

How high does the plane climb before the jump?

The plane climbs to 15,000 feet (4,200 meters) before you exit. That altitude gives you a full 60 seconds of freefall time before the parachute deploys.

What's included in the tandem skydiving experience?

Tandem skydiving in Prague includes all gear, the certified instructor, air-conditioned transport from the city center to the drop zone, the safety briefing, and a certificate. Photos and video from the cameraman are sold separately at checkout.

How long does the whole experience take from start to finish?

Plan for 4 to 6 hours total. That covers the 30-minute buffer at the Prague office, roughly an hour's drive to the airport, about 3 hours for the briefing and jump itself, and an hour back to the city. Weather delays or heavy traffic can push it toward the longer end.

Is there a weight limit for tandem skydiving?

The weight limit is 120 kg. If you weigh between 95 and 120 kg, an extra charge applies; above 120 kg, you cannot jump.

Can I bring my own camera or phone to record the jump?

You cannot carry a camera or phone during the jump itself. A cameraman jumps alongside and films the freefall and parachute descent; you can purchase those photos and video at checkout, or add the selfie video option recorded by the tandem pilot's hand camera.

What happens if the weather is bad on my jump day?

Weather conditions determine whether the jump goes ahead. If conditions are unsafe, the jump is rescheduled to another day or you receive a refund. The operator monitors conditions on the morning of your booking.
