The experience
The tour starts at Prague By E-Bike Shop in the city center and covers more than 30 landmarks tied to Prague's modern history. You'll ride past the Victims of Communism memorial, the John Lennon Wall, the Kafka Museum, the SS Headquarters, the Jewish Old Town, and the Cyril and Methodius Church: the actual location where the film Anthropoid was shot. The guide points out WWII bombing sites and explains what happened at each stop, moving through the city on an electric bike so you cover ground without the strain of a regular bicycle.
The electric bike does the work: you pedal when you want to, but the motor handles the hills and the longer stretches between stops. A helmet and a bottle of water come with the bike. The guide speaks English, German, or Chinese and stays with the group the whole time, stopping to talk at key sites rather than rushing past them. Six viewpoints along the route are marked for photos, and the guide knows which ones frame the city best.
At the end of the tour, you get free entry into the Museum of Communism (the only Prague bike tour that includes it), and a Czech beer tasting. The whole thing wraps in 3 to 3.5 hours.
