Step-by-step itinerary

- Bus sightseeing around Nicosia Town Centre
- Walk through Laiki Getonia to North Crossing
- Free time in Nicosia Old Town

The experience
The route starts with a short drive around Nicosia's town centre for guided sightseeing, then moves into the old town on foot. You walk through Laiki Gitonia, a neighborhood of traditional shops and tavernas, and reach the crossing point into the north. From there, the itinerary takes you past St. Sophia Mosque (a former Gothic cathedral now used as a mosque, viewed from outside), and into Buyuk Han, an Ottoman-era caravanserai that anchors the northern side. The final stop is the Turkish Bazaar, where the sights, sounds and flavors shift noticeably from the southern streets you walked earlier.
Free time is built into the old town for sightseeing, shopping and lunch. Lunch itself is optional and costs extra. The guide speaks Italian throughout, and the group travels in an air-conditioned vehicle with hotel pickup and drop-off included. Groups can reach up to 50 passengers on a single departure. The tour runs eight hours total, and the operator notes that summer temperatures are high, so sun protection and a hat are advisable.
