The experience
What makes this tour different is the boarding option. Most boat trips in the area are sightseeing only. This one lets you spend your time in the water doing something active. You start with a cruise through Spanish Waters, passing mangrove areas, coral stone rock formations and views of Tafelberg, then head to Santa Barbara pier for a swim break. If you want to board, you can switch your beach time for board time on a multi-functional board that works for body boarding, knee boarding, water skiing or wake boarding: all on the same trip, all with no experience needed. The boat is 21 feet and carries your small group only, with bottled water and crew included.
The boarding itself requires a basic level of physical agility: you need to be able to climb a small ladder to get back into the boat from the water. Minimum age is six years old, and the maximum weight for boarding is 300 pounds. This tour does not include snorkeling, and it does not visit the Blue Room or the sea turtle beach. It stays on the East side of the island. You can request the board in advance or decide once you're on the water.
