The experience
The boat leaves Zadar with the city behind and heads toward Ugljan and Galevac islands. At the first stop, the skipper anchors in a bay and you enter the water directly from the boat: no beach, no wading in. You snorkel, swim, sunbathe or jump from the deck as long as you want. The second stop is the village of Preko, where you climb out onto a sand beach and have free time to grab coffee, eat, swim from shore or walk through the settlement. Then the boat moves on toward Osljak, the least populated island in Croatia, and anchors again in a bay where you repeat the first stop: more snorkeling, more jumping, more time in the water.
The whole trip runs four hours. Snorkeling equipment is included and ready on board. You don't bring your own or rent it separately. The guide speaks English and navigates the route, but this is not a narrated tour. You're in the water most of the time. Children must have an adult with them, and infants can ride in a stroller if needed. The boat returns you to Zadar at the end.
