The experience

The speedboat leaves Trogir at 06:15 (or Split at 06:45) and heads east for 90 minutes to reach Biševo island and Blue Cave. The cave entrance fee varies by season (18€ per person in spring and autumn, 24€ in summer), and you pay cash on the day. Skip-the-line service means the boat doesn't sit idle while you queue. The skipper coordinates entry so the group moves through without the delay that hits larger tours. The cave itself is a natural chamber where sunlight reflects off the water and turns it an electric blue. The time you spend inside depends on how many boats are ahead and how the sea is running that morning.

After the cave, the boat heads to Komiža on the western side of Vis, a working fishermen's village where you can grab coffee or breakfast at the waterfront. From there you move to Stiniva Cove, a narrow inlet cut into the cliffs and reachable only from the sea: the skipper slows down so you can swim and try to scramble onto the beach from the boat. You'll pass Srebrena Beach, where the skipper points out the Mamma Mia filming location and holds the boat steady for photos. Then comes an hour of free swimming and snorkelling at Blue Lagoon on Budikovac island, where the water is shallow and clear.

The final stop is Hvar town, where you have free time to walk the waterfront, eat lunch at one of the local restaurants, or climb to the Spanish Fortress for views over the Pakleni Islands. The Cathedral of St. Stephen is also there if you want to step inside. The whole day runs 10 to 12 hours depending on conditions and how long you linger in Hvar.
