Step-by-step itinerary

Boat tour and underwater museum visit

  • Boat ride from Trogir to Jelinak Bay
  • Explore underwater museum with statues
  • Snorkel with provided equipment
  • Relax at private beach and beach bar

The Experience

Jelinak Bay sits 30 minutes by boat from Trogir's waterfront, far enough out that the bay stays reserved for your group alone—no houses on the shore, no other visitors in the water. The boat ride itself carries views of Trogir's medieval rooflines before the coastline opens into open water. Once you arrive, the beach bar and private beach area become your base; sun loungers and umbrellas wait if you want to rest between water time.

The museum itself runs 10 meters down. Over 50 statues occupy the seafloor, among them an 8-meter-tall figure of Jesus Christ and an airplane—objects that read differently underwater than they would on land, arranged in a sequence that includes 14 pieces depicting the Way of the Cross. You move through them with snorkeling gear, moving at your own pace, and the guide in English stays with the group. The statues sit in a bay calm enough that even first-time snorkelers can manage the depth and the time underwater.

After you've finished exploring, the private beach becomes a place to dry off and decompress. The beach bar sits there if you want something to drink; the loungers and umbrellas mean you can stay in the shade or the sun as long as the three-hour window allows. The boat ride back to Trogir gives you time to settle before heading into the city's evening.
