The experience
The Blue Lagoon sits in water so clear and shallow that snorkeling here means seeing straight to the bottom. The two islands that frame it (Drvenik and Krknjaši) are separated by this intense turquoise band, and the transparency is what makes it work for swimming and diving as well as snorkeling. You get the equipment on board, so there's no gear to arrange beforehand.
After roughly an hour and a quarter in the water, the boat moves to Maslinica on the nearby island of Šolta. This is the village part of the day: a place to sit with a coffee, grab ice cream, or order seafood and traditional Dalmatian dishes if you want a longer break. Maslinica won national awards in 2012 for best tourist destination in the Adriatic under a thousand inhabitants, and again in 2017 for best Authentic Coastal Destination: the kind of recognition that usually means the place has kept itself intact instead of building for tourists alone.
The speed boat leaves Trogir's UNESCO town center at either 9am or 3pm, depending on which departure suits your day. The full loop (Trogir to the lagoon, then Maslinica, then back) takes five hours. Bottled water is on board, and the boat covers fuel and parking.
What’s included
