The experience
The boat leaves Dubrovnik and heads straight to the Blue Cave, where you snorkel, swim and jump from the boat for as long as you want. The cave is the first stop and the one that sets the pace. You stay until you're ready to move on, not on a timer. After that, Lopud Island gives you a few hours to walk the sandy beach called Sunj, explore on your own or rest before lunch.
Lunch happens on Island Sipan at the captain's house and is the centerpiece of the day. Everything is homemade: the bread, the olive oil, the soup, and the main course grilled right in front of you while you watch. Wine flows throughout the meal and is unlimited. The meal is not a quick stop. It's built into the rhythm of the day so you eat slowly and talk. On the way back to Dubrovnik, the captain adds one more swimming break.
The tour runs nine hours total. You can book it with hotel pickup from Dubrovnik included, or arrange your own transport to the departure point. Snorkeling gear is provided, and the pace suits all fitness levels.
