The experience

The boat leaves Dubrovnik with a skipper who knows the islands and a cooler stocked with water, coffee, snacks and your choice of soft drinks or wine. From there, the day is yours to build. Most groups start with Koločep, where the Blue Cave opens into turquoise water deep enough to swim and snorkel. After the cave, a walk inland passes the ruins of a 3rd-century Orthodox church half-hidden in pine forest. The island has no crowds and no restaurants. Just coves, quiet, and the option to stay as long as you want.

Lopud comes next, ringed by sandy beaches and lined with palms along the promenade. The Franciscan Monastery and Botanical Garden sit inland. The island holds over thirty chapels from the days of the Dubrovnik Republic. This is where most groups choose to eat, and the restaurants here (some of the finest in the region) will hold a table for whenever you arrive. Families often spend the afternoon here because the beaches are gentle and the island has the feel of a place that welcomes lingering.

Šipan, the largest island, is a working fisherman's community with a secluded bay on the far side that's perfect for a final swim. The restaurants (Bowa, Konoba Marko, Nautilus) are known for seafood and local wine. You can eat here or skip it. You can snorkel for an hour or spend the afternoon on a single beach. Towels, snorkeling equipment and WiFi on board mean you don't need to plan around gear or stay connected to shore. The skipper knows the islands and can suggest, but the schedule is entirely yours.

What's the difference between the two yacht options on this tour?

The Prestige 420 and Prestige 42/400 are the two vessels available. Both are private yachts with the same skipper, inclusions and itinerary, so the choice comes down to boat size and your group's preference for space and layout.

Can we eat lunch on the islands, or do we need to bring food?

Lopud and Šipan both have restaurants where you can eat at your own pace and choice. Koločep has no dining, so most groups eat on one of the other two islands or bring snacks to eat on the boat.

Is snorkeling equipment included, and what about swimming?

Snorkeling gear is on board and included. All three islands have swimmable coves, and the Blue Cave on Koločep is the main snorkeling stop, though you can swim and snorkel at any cove the skipper takes you to.

How much time do we spend on each island?

The eight-hour tour includes travel time between islands, so the time on each one depends on what you want to do: some groups spend two hours on one island and one hour on another, and the skipper adjusts based on your interests.
