The experience
The boat leaves early and heads to Bisevo, where the Blue Cave sits at sea level inside a rocky cliff. The cave opens to the Adriatic through a narrow entrance. Sunlight bounces off the seabed and fills the interior with shades of blue. Entry to the cave itself is a separate ticket, but the boat gets you there and waits while you go inside. From Bisevo, the route continues to Stiniva Cove on Vis, a narrow bay ringed by high cliffs and reachable only by boat. The water here is clear enough to see the seabed, and there is time to swim.
The Green Cave on Ravnik Island is spacious enough for the boat to enter. You can jump into the sea from inside the cave itself and snorkel around the seabed, which drops to 3 to 5 meters. A small fisherman's village called Komiza sits on Vis in a deep bay, with steep cliffs and traditional Mediterranean architecture. The Military Tunnel, a former Yugoslav submarine base carved into the island, is a concrete remnant of Cold War history: big enough to have sheltered submarines up to 110 metres long and designed to be invisible from the air.
The day ends in Hvar town, where you walk along the waterfront promenade and have time for coffee. The boat returns to Brac after 10 hours, including travel time. Snorkeling equipment is on board, and bottled water is provided throughout the day.
