Between sessions you sit on deck with tropical fruit and water, watching the water and the sky. Whales pass through these waters during migration season, and the guide will call them out if they surface. You're back at the diving center by noon, which is early enough to grab lunch ashore or head somewhere else without the day feeling rushed.

The guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian depending on the group. All snorkeling equipment—mask, fins, wetsuit—comes with you; bring a towel, sunscreen, hat and a light jacket for the boat ride, which can be breezy even when the water is calm.
