The experience

The zip line platform appears through the canopy before you've finished your coffee. You're standing on the slope of Rincón de la Vieja volcano in Guanacaste, about to clip into a harness and move through the trees at a speed that makes your stomach catch, and then it doesn't, because the view opens up and you're just flying. The canopy tour runs through the forest here, and after you've landed and your hands have stopped shaking a little, you walk straight into the next thing: a 450-meter waterslide that drops you into a pool so cold it feels like a reset button.
