Includes scope & pro guide.★ 5.00 (25)5hUS$ 98View › First thing I noticed stepping into Selvatura Park was how the air felt — thick with mist, almost sweet, and there was this quiet hum from somewhere up in the trees. We’d barely checked in before our guide, Diego (who somehow remembered everyone’s name), handed us helmets and harnesses. I’ll admit, my hands were a bit shaky clipping onto that first zipline. But then you’re off — just wind and green everywhere, nothing under your feet but air. I could hear someone ahead of me whooping, and for a second I thought it might be me.
The hanging bridges part was slower, but honestly just as wild in its own way. The boards creaked a little underfoot — not scary exactly, but enough to make you pay attention. Diego pointed out this tiny orchid growing on the side of a mossy branch; he said it only blooms for a day or two each year. There was this moment when we stopped halfway across one bridge and everything went silent except for some distant bird calls. You could see the clouds drifting right at eye level. It’s hard to explain — it felt like floating.
I didn’t expect to care much about butterflies, but walking into that garden was like being inside a living painting. Warm air, fluttering wings everywhere — blue morphos landing on people’s hats (not mine though). A kid next to me tried to count them out loud until he lost track around thirty-something. The whole day trip from Monteverde felt packed but never rushed. By the time we got back to our hotel (pickup included), my shoes were muddy and my head was full of green. Still think about that view from the last bridge sometimes.
