You walk the forest floor on a marked path, stopping when the guide spots movement or hears a sound: a sloth in the canopy, a frog calling from the undergrowth, the rustle of something crossing the trail ahead. The guide speaks English or Spanish and points out what you're looking at, how to spot it and what it's doing.

Two hours is long enough to cover ground without rushing, and short enough to fit into an evening without eating the whole night.
