La Fortuna's cloud forest and canyon waterfalls are the setting for this half-day activity that splits into two parts: canyoning first, then ziplining. You start with a 10-minute hike to the hanging bridge, where the first rappel drops 55 meters into the canyon. From there, descents continue down four waterfalls—one from a tree, three more in the water itself—adding up to 100 meters of rappelling. An experienced guide secures you in a top-of-the-line safety harness and provides climbing gear; the guide also handles all the setup and safety briefing before you start.
After the canyon section, a car takes you up into the cloud forest to the zipline starting point. The final part of the activity is a 400-meter cable run through the trees.
